Common questions
How do I buy a module?
Inside Etere.AI, from the module's own sheet or from Settings, Modules, through the App Store. You pay once and it works on Mac and iPhone with the same Apple Account. On a new device: Settings, Modules, Restore Purchases.
I hear nothing.
Check the power key and the AF GAIN knob, then the squelch ring around it: turned too far, it silences weak signals. If the receiver is busy or offline, choose another one from the display.
Why is a receiver sometimes full?
Public receivers are run by volunteers and accept a few listeners at a time. When one is full or goes offline, Etere.AI moves to the next nearest one.
Do I need a licence?
Not to listen, and not for Mumble or Zello. To talk on M17 reflectors and AllStarLink nodes you need an amateur radio licence and your own callsign.
How do I use Zello or Mumble?
Enter your account details in Settings, set the switch to POC and choose a channel or server from the display.
How does OPER. understand me?
Without the AI operator, a small reader on the device understands simple orders such as a frequency, a mode or a scan. With the AI operator on (Settings, Operator), it understands free sentences through Mistral AI: one credit per question, 20 free, then packs of 500 inside the app.
Where are my recordings?
On Mac, in the Music folder of your user. On iPhone, in the app's documents.
