Weather charts and SSTV pictures printed line by line, as on thermal paper. The next broadcasts are always in view.
Weather fax and SSTV print on the module's thermal paper line by line, as they arrive. The amber display carries the frequency and the picture's figures: lines per minute, IOC, current line.
STOP holds the paper as it is, but the decoder keeps listening and whatever comes in still reaches the album. NEW SHEET leaves out the pictures already finished, and a touch on the paper browses the album. Fax finds speed and IOC from the start tone and the phasing; SSTV recognises the mode from its VIS code.
