TALKY

Terms of use

Last updated: 4 November 2026

The app

Talky is provided as it is. The walkie-talkie works between nearby devices on the same network or over Bluetooth, and its range depends on the devices and the place. Live radio relies on internet stations, receivers and servers run by third parties, which can change, fill up or disappear at any time.

Not for emergencies

Talky is not an emergency device and does not reach emergency services. In danger, call your local emergency number from a phone.

Radio rules

On the HF, CB and POC bands Talky only listens: it never transmits on radio frequencies. In some countries listening to certain services, or sharing what you hear, is restricted. Check the rules where you are.

Your voice

You are responsible for what you say on Talky and for recording other people only where the law allows it and with their consent where required.

Purchases

Talky is free to download. Talky Pro is offered as a weekly or yearly auto-renewing subscription and as a one-time purchase (Talky Pro forever); the Themes Pack is a one-time purchase. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.

Subscriptions are charged to your Apple Account and renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. A free trial, where offered, turns into a paid subscription at its end unless cancelled first. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple.

Purchases and the licence to use the app follow Apple's terms, including the Licensed Application End User License Agreement. The same Apple Account unlocks Talky Pro on iPhone, iPad and Mac.

Source code

The source code of Talky is published at github.com/andreapianidev/WalkieTalkie under the PolyForm Noncommercial License 1.0.0. That licence covers the code only and is separate from the licence to use the app.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for damage arising from the use of the app or of third-party services reached through it. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer.

Law

These terms are governed by Spanish law, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protections of your country.
